A Georgia-based correctional facility committed to improving the living conditions for its inmates, selected SteelCell of North America to refurbish 18 cells in need of repair. In a remarkable two week timeframe, SteelCell transformed the cells by addressing floor damage, installed floor strips, removed damaged polyurea coating, sprayed new polyurea coating, and created non-slip areas near showers.

Comprehensive Cell Refurbishment
SteelCell’s skilled team meticulously assessed and addressed cracks, holes, and other forms of damage to cell floors. Next, the team expertly removed the damaged polyurea coating, paving the way for the application of a new coating. The fresh polyurea layer offers increased durability, longevity, and resistance to wear and tear.

Last but not least, SteelCell collaborated with the facility’s Maintenance Manager to create safe, non-slip areas near the showers. This well-designed non-slip shower concept continues to provide inmates with secure footing as they entered and exited the showering facilities, minimizing the risk of accidents.

Through the partnership, the refurbishment of 18 cells in Pods B and C was successfully completed, significantly enhancing the living spaces for inmates.
